A little throw-back to the SP days with NWP 1501 (MP15DC), 38 empty grain hoppers, and an SP caboose. Enjoy!

Finally remembered to drive downtown Windsor.  All the hoppers are still on the siding.

CP is right, hoppers still in storage in Windsor as of 3PM today.

CP how do you know so much?????

Chad:

That would align with the timing for when I heard.  I moved this summer from Palo Alto 4 blocks from the CalTrain line.  I have missed hearing freight horns besides the CalTrain EMDs, especially the UP heavies pulling the dirt train loads.  So assumed it was 1501 heading north (I live off of Piner in WesCo).

But CP is saying maybe not.

I thought I heard a freight horn one evening from my home in Windsor last week but shrugged it off.  I'll swing by and see if those hoppers are still there

These were only cars from Petaluma and Burdell, the movable homeless camp that I would assume has become of the storage cars in Windsor are still there.

Scott:

Great contribution.  That little switcher is working hard to move all of those rusty hoppers which were accumulating at Burdell.  I think I can, I think I can -- I KNOW I CAN!

I'll have to go up to Windsor to see if those hoppers parked there are included here.  I thought I heard 1501's horn going thru Santa Rosa late last week.

If only 1501 had a Nathan P3! Awesome sounds, especially at 5:05 when the engineer throttles up.
