Dedicated to Sharing the Heritage of Redwood Empire Railroading

Anyone got photos or video of NWP movements on August 31 or Sept. 2,2011? Going to post them so that we distance challanged members can keep abreast of rail movements. Caught the video of August 29,2011 with 9 empties being moved back to interchange. Am looking forward to more recent NWP movements. As far as I can tell there have been 3 carloads to Standard frames (name?) in Windsor plus the grain movements to Dairymans and the other grain company since NWP reopened.

I would humbly suggest using a Forum post to track daily movements, which is more general to the network than an individual blog post, but feel free to do either or both, of course.  Both forum and blog posts support RSS feeds, so you can easily keep track of activity for a specific item, even on your phone if you're "out in the field," by subscribing to the feed.  The little blue icon under Previous at the bottom left of this page is the RSS link for this particular blog post feed, and most content on the network has its own feed.  Just pick an RSS reader of your choice and you're all set.

Oh, I was experimenting with a third-party application on the network today called "Answers," which may be a good choice for tracking daily train movements.  I'll try to take a closer look at it over the weekend and spring it on the network if it looks promising.  Thanks for all the feedback and for taking the time to post updates -- I appreciate and enjoy all of your contributions!  Regards,

That would be great to have another customer online! Also, blog posts/discussions seem to be the best way to track NWP sightings. If the site has a busy day, these don't disappear, like status updates do. Discussion/blogs kinda keep a record of this stuff.

I think maybe that FRA had to recertify the siding? Hopefully they will be reciving shipments soon

It was just 2009 on the siding. Maybe they were marketing.

Wait im confused is Willowbrook now getting grain by train again? Or did they just store 2009 there? It would be great to see them as a customer again.

So... Comments under a Blog post would be the best way to follow information?  Such as this Blog.

Mark has tried to remedy this many times without sucess. For a short time, it was even worse! The only way to keep totally current is to check often.

That's the problem with "Current Activity", once it falls off the page it's gone or is it?  I know you can see it if you go to the author's homepage.  Is there any other way of seeing these posting once they are no longer really current?

Thanks Dan. I missed that entry, that Jamie made, about sighting the 2009 on the spur track near Ely Rd.

By the way, Steven, it's Standard Structures, and the other feed mill is Hunt & Behrens.
