NWPRRhs.net vs Mobile Devices and/or Desktops page 1 ....

First of all I would like to say that I think this is a really GREAT site, and I really enjoy it. I also think Mark Drury is doing a awesome job on the Net Site which is no easy task I am sure, even if it is a labor of Love. Keep up the Great work Mark! It is and will be worth it! I for one sure appreciate everything your doing.

This Blog should in no way be misconstrude as a complaint or unhappiness, instead it simple is a (B) log of hardware and software interaction problems over the Internet and the process of solving them.

We have had some communications issues between my cellphone and nwprrhs.net. I am running a Sony Ericsson W760a on a Java OS with Opera Mini as a browser.
All Opera Products (including Beta about 6 browsers and various sites) can be found at:
http://opera.com/

I have never been able to CHAT from my mobile, as well as a couple of other commands. Now I am having trouble commenting and and on occasion with messages. Unfortunately I cant always click on the commands or icons. However communications has not all been great from desktops neither, though all command eventually operate. More on that next time.

Hi Folks:

I have Ajusted the title of the blog so that it is more inclusive. I have also made some cosmetic changes to the body including adding the Opera link. Other links are welcome and encouraged. This has all been done this morning on my cellphone, but all is not solved. More on that later today, hopefully, in a new entry, I am narrowing things down!

Regards,

Mark,

Thanks for the words. Its letting me comment this time. I will keep all in mind. Have you installed Opera for your desktop yet? Opera is big in Europe but is catching on fast over here too apparently. I might be repeating myself but Opera Mini has gone through over 500 million pages a day on the internet. That I believe is a fraction of the over all usage.

Thanks for the feedback, Crysta! Yes, you're blazing a new trail in your use of the Opera web browser -- I have my hands full just making sure the site works with Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Regarding Chat, that feature requires that your browser support flash, and most mobile browsers do not yet support flash. I haven't checked Opera but it likely offers minimal or no support for flash on mobile platforms, as well. And if you find that features begin to work sluggishly or not at all after your browser session has run for a while it may be a javascript or memory leak issue, and may require a browser restart. Issues like those you report generally indicate a browser/session problem, and not necessarily a website/code issue. Please keep the feedback coming and thanks for helping me to make the site better. Regards,

Mark D.
