I ran across your blog a couple of years ago, and it has become one of my favorite NWP/train sites! It is good to see you on this network.
I have a CSRM membership and would be happy to have you and your son as my guests next time you want to go. My son Jack and I are always up for a visit, especially when the River Train is running! I also volunteer on the Sacramento Valley Railroad, the first railroad West of the Rockies, currently being restored as an excursion line between Folsom and El Dorado. I will get you a list of our scheduled runs for this year soon. Happy Railroading!
HI Dan; I like the pictures of the State Museum. We were members for several years before we went full time RVing. I am sure it is even better now, that was in about 1996 or so.
Was there any thing about the NMRA signing a deal with the Museum to build a layout and do a history thing there?
I saw that in one of the model magazines last month.
As for your collection of kits yet to be built, we have about that amount, which had been in storage for over 10 years. Now that we are back to part timing we are getting started again. At our age, we need to keep moving on these and get the layout done. We work better under pressure, RIGHT??
As for the station, we LOVE it and only hope we can do half as well.
Keep up the good work.
Welcome to the NWPRR Network, Dan! Please take a look around and let me know if you have any questions or comments. I'm adding content daily and am actively recruiting new members -- please feel free to invite your own friends if you think they may be interested. Regards,
P.S. I meant to thank you for the pointer to http://model-railroad-hobbyist.com/ on your blog -- I'm now a fan, too.
