VERY appreciative of your posts on this subject. Looks like my mistake because I mistakenly believed that the debris was being taken to the dump east and across 101 from Olimpali State Park which is on the NWP mainline.
"Richard, the dump is on Mecham road and not close to the mainline. Articles I've read stated that the dump processes on normal days less than 1000 tons of waste. Since fire cleanup has started it now is processing 6000+ tons a day.…"

Chad, saw your comment on the Derailed Cars thread about steelhead fishing on the Eel River and just wanted to ask how the fishing is on the river these days? When I grew up in Ukiah I obsessed about fly fishing and made it to the Eel River many times with a couple friends, but our luck (and skill at that time) was not so good. Regards,
