I remember feeling all tingly when I saw this evidence of recent work in this Healdsburg photo from about 15 months ago.  Similar to Richard's photo, but different location?

No Emilio, only weed control along parts of the Healdsburg RoW.

I was up there last week.  The only track work is the redo of the RoW needed for the Mill St. round about.

The rails had to be removed and are still out while construction is in process.

I posted on this work last February.

Those tracks look a lot cleaner than they did a few years ago, is track work being done up here??

Sorry "Cut and paste" error so please disregard.  The tracks inside the Mill St Healdsburg roundabout have not been pulled up since 2013 but only at the end of 2016.  I go up there every 3 to 4 weeks and will report.

Thanks Tim for that clarification and those wonderful but older pictures.  Earlier I had posted that in February I had posted several pictures from a trip I took to Healdsburg and then posted picts including ones of the new hardware installed on both the track and the crossing guards in Healdsburg.

Since 2013 the tracks inside the roundabout have been pulled up (also in my pictures) and as a result of an Obama federal transportation grant, the property around the depot has seen an upgrade including new lighting and roadways.  The roundabout is still under construction so I expect to see the rails replaced as soon as that project is completed but based on a visit this last weekend there is no sign of any new track repair inside the Healdsburg city limits.

It is up to SMART.

Michael H. "...that NWP stole the switch parts in 2011 for the opening of operations to make a switch in Santa Rosa work".  Why would NWP remove simple parts like nuts and spacers to move them into the SMART RoW?

Again Tim, thanks for the memories.

This is just south of the Roundabout back in early 2013

Michael and Dave,

If I remember right, there's a few more similar-looking switches done by Syar and in Windsor... I also remember seeing this fresh "construction" (i.e., new insulation, switch work, some tie work) around three years ago or so, I don't think it should be anything recent.

This must be taken juuuuust south of the round-a-bout... If you look closely you can barely make out the front of the depot at the very top of the photo.

I think the story went, that NWP stole the switch parts in 2011 for the opening of operations to make a switch in Santa Rosa work. SMART allowed it so long as they ordered the parts to replace the stolen parts in Healdsburg. Its documented in a 2011 post, but that would take too much time to dig up. I am also quoting an old post, so don't hold me down to anything factual...

Well, this is exciting!  The only components of this switch that have been replaced are those essential for electrical insulation.

Not sure where this is.  Are we north of the Russian River Bridge?  Are we just south of Mill St & Healdsburg Ave?  (The Healdsburg Roundabout?)

More evidence that they are working to get the line open to Cloverdale?  Or is this simply obligatory work in connection with grade crossing construction/modification?
