I do remember when the NWP put the cars on the ground just South of the road crossing. It was interesting to watch the crews struggle to rerail them. What a job!

Back in "the day", loads to this location could have been thought of a seasonal. I remember the sidings being void of multiple cars many times when I routinely cruised the area. Then, all of a sudden, they were jammed with cars. I never bothered to figure out why. Should have...but....

Thanks Ben for this post focused on the NWP.

Yes it is disconcerting about their number of loads.  Remember Standard Structures was supposed to be a big customer for NWP as well as Redwood Empire via transloading in Windsor.  Hopefully 1501 is more efficient to run than 1322.

Was thinking the same thing.  It seems like traffic to Dairymans has really slowed.  You used to see 4-6 cars sitting on the spur track constantly.  It's been empty lately when i've driven by.

Wow looks like the trains are not very long these days?? What happened to that 500 car order that they talked about at the ncra meeting 4-5 months back?
