Or is there are 3rd reason?
1922 as a renovated BN road engine-hauler may be more adaptable to ATC than the fundamental switcher 1501.
Locals here tell me that NWP has been running nighttime tests on the line surely to learn what is needed for NWP locos to work with the ATC.
Many people who I have met here in SR love the idea of a renovate rail line but have no idea how to support.
I can only think of two reasons that 1922 is back in the cage.
1. They need more power for an up and coming move of rolling stock, or
2. Its leaving...
Is there any other thoughts?
1922 is a workhorse and when I last heard her engine sounded just fine like an old GM diesel should. May not meet the emissions standards though.
Love to see a photo of her in the cage.
