Anybody having trouble uploading photos? It will do the upload part, but then just hangs. No screen to enter titles, etc.

As Jennifer notes below, this site has become really slow sometimes.  Although I didn't experience that yesterday, today it is incredibly sluggish, symptoms consistent with its hosting server being overloaded.

I was able to upload one photo this morning as a test, and this time it continued on to the screen that lets you enter title/caption information, but that screen was mangled consistent with the server not responding to style sheet requests.

If this continues I think Mark should complain to his hosting service. I sent a note to him yesterday on the photo upload problem, but no response so far.

I took a bunch of photos of the Larkspur Extension work yesterday. I'm actually underwhelmed by the progress made over the last six months.  However, the Andersen Drive crossing looks like it's done and ready to re-open to automobile traffic.  Note, contrary to what's stated in the recent NWPRRHS "Headlight" magazine, only one track will cross Andersen.  North-west of this crossing a switch is being installed and it will be double track from there to the San Rafael station.

It seems that work on the San Rafael Creek crossing has been at a standstill for the last six months -- no visible progress at all (waiting for environmental permits?).  The deck on the bridge over "unnamed creek" (behind the Mercedes dealer) isn't done either.  Nothing started on the bridge over Auburn St/Bellam Blvd., but materials have been staged nearby.

The highlight for me was walking the SMART side of the Cal Park Hill Tunnel!  The portal gates are gone, and to my surprise, that side of the tunnel is illuminated.  Of course, the graffiti boys already have left their marks in numerous places inside.

Hope to post photos this weekend!

Try uploading a photo.  That part works, but then (for me at least) it will hang ... no screen to specify albums or photo captions.  I have a lot of bounty to share today!  :)

By the way:  Happy Independence Day everyone!!!

Dave, I recently tried to post an article re: train service cancellation to Sonoma Raceway and experienced a good amount of latency and anomalies.
