Since you are a member and even though I am a Yahoo w-site member, but have been denied access to the espee group site, would you be so kind to those of us interested but not espee members to cut and paste on this site the post that you received as an espee member regarding the GGRM move.

After all this seems? relevant to the NWP and GGRM and you are the one that posted the original message for some of us to guess what were the details of the agreement.

The answer is both. The group is all about preserving the history and memories of the Southern Pacific. The primary purpose is about the railroad, but many of the members are modelers. If you fill out the application, you should be invited to join in a short period of time. I choose to have all posts directed to my e-mail, which keeps me up to date on the goings on.

Yahoo has not YET been bought.  It owns 15% of the Chinese company Alibaba and with Verizon expected to buy just a portion of Yahoo, the rumor is that the name change selected by the Yahoo board better fits their Chinese relationship.

Richard you are most likely a member of the group so when you clicked on the link you provided the I'net "cookie" embedded in your cookie recognized you and took you to the menu page.

When I go to the page URL you provided the page that comes up for me tells me to join the group to learn more.  So again is this a modelling group or full sized rail group?

I just right clicked on the link I posted, then clicked on open and it took me to the site.

I'll be looking to see info about Yahoo being bought. Interesting times!

Yahoo! was just bought out and will, at least, no longer exist by that name.  Whether the new owners (connected with alibaba, I believe) will continue Yahoo! services or merge it into their existing remains to be seen.  That may explain the "access denied" response.

Strange group.  I tried to join so I could read and was denied.  Never been denied before especially from a railroading group.

Your URL only shows "espee" but there are 2 Espee Yahoo groups though and I may have picked the wrong one.  It is called "Southern Pacific railroad list" but there is a note at the side mentioning digital controllers.  Is this a modelling group????

Pls advise.  The other Richard

I searched the GGRM w-site and their "latest news" is the scheduling of the February meeting in Santa Cruz to discuss them moving to Santa Cruz.

Can you please provide a link to the "Espee site" you reference in your subject above?  All I find listed with Google is the Espee modelers and Espee usa.
