Jordan:

Had a good laugh on that one.  UP the Oklahoma railroad from the old dust bowl.

Again though thanks for the post and keep us up to date.  Most importantly keep humping ;-)

And to Chad's comment as this is an old and historic Eureka/north coast service car I would suspect that our NWPRR.net brethren in that region would be involved.  Boo on them if they have missed this one.

Just FYI, I've been following the updates on the SP-10 Facebook page and I've no reason to believe any "fake" information is being shared.  I haven't read every post but most of what I have read seems perfectly legitimate.  Just one perspective, of course.

That is all.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when UP tries sending it over the hump in Roseville!

All I was saying is there is a FB page dedicated to SP-10 and currently they are updating the move back to Woodland. Maybe the reason no one has posted much here is because no one associated with the SP-10 is a member here. I seriously doubt the information on that FB page is "fake"

Fxxk'book has been found to provide "Fake News".  So why is the story of this DMU not covered here instead of fxxk'book?

I really appreciate Jordan posting the news here but please all members do not send to f'book where the news cannot be trusted.  Post here and if those posters are not members invite them to participate.

Your guys knowledge of details of railroading history never ceases to amaze me. You have no idea how much I've learned since becoming a member here.

The red nose was to cover the non stainless steel repair after colliding with a lumber truck. and make it more visible, but they only did the one end I believe.

I'm following its progress on the Facebook page and they were asking what version of the front to have. White I like the scarlet nose I really like the original whisker look. I'm assuming that it's time spent on the NWP was with the scarlet nose?

SP 10 is SP's only Budd RDC which spent most of its SP life on the Eureka to Willits tri-weekly run before being sold to a shortine after the service was discontinued.
