A while a go someone posted something like "The nwp needs to upgrade their track again, its falling apart and becoming inacuratly guaged."

Well to whomever that was,

the accidental regauging  was caused by Balfour Beatty installing the tie plate backwards causeing the rail to lean slightly in.

 Holy Smokes Chad......looks like some of the roads here in Sonoma County.....good find....The new NWP track will be excellent for at speed running.  The slower track will be Ignacio Wye to Lombard, but even that is in prety decent shape.

That video didn't show any bad tracks.... it stayed on them right. As long as it gets to point a to b and not touch the ground, it should be fine. Just don't let the FRA see that video...  As a pilot there is a saying we have... there is no such thing as a bad landing as long as you make it out alive.
