Thanks, everyone, for the information on the last NWP passenger train service at Railroad Square Depot in Santa Rosa. I wonder if the Fred Stindt books are available in a library, somewhere?

If you want a brief picture of the old NWP at the Santa Rosa station, note the Alfred Hitchcock 1943 movie, "Shadow of a Doubt". There are a few scenes of the NWP train coming into the Santa Rosa station. Toward the end of the movie, there is a scene on the train, itself, involving actors Joseph Cotton and Teresa Wright.

The Stindt books are in the Humboldt County Library.
