I'm new to the forum and am working on plans to build 20'x20' layout based on the cfnr.  I'm looking for a copy of the 1995 Pentrex vidoe of the cfnr.  Does anyone have a copy I can purchase, rent or borrow?

I know this is an old conversation, but Pentrex has been putting the Today's Northwestern Pacific DVD in their sale flyer for the past year.  $10 is an excellent price!

Also, Ebay frequently has NWP and CFNR, as well as the stores inside the Cal State Railroad Museum, Jamestown Museum and one left in the NWPRRHS store.

Btw, I was able to find a copy of the NWP and the CFNR videos... of all places.. on Amazon.

Ah.. yes, you are referring to the Peteluma/Schellville/Willits portion of the NWP that the CFNR operated for 3 years.  Actually the CFNR continued on with the Napa, West Valley, Vallejo and West Side subdivisions, and is still in operation today.  Albeit, now under the RailAmerica corporate name (as of November, 2001), but they still use 'California Northern' moniker.   My plan is to model the Napa, Vallejo and West Valley subdivisions as it looked in 1998, with transfers from the NWP and UP.

Thanks Keith.

As I'm planning on modeling the CFNR in the late 90's, and there is very little in print describing operations, other than a 1995 article in Trains.. I thought the video might help.  I will look for a copy of the NWP video (Pentrex is out of stock).  Actually I'd like both if I can find them.

If anyone has anything (timetables, operations plans, etc) for the CFNR, I would be very interested.  Since I live in Washington.. spending an afternoon pacing trains is not easily accomplished.

There was a discussion on here awhile back about DVD copies of the CFNR Pentrex tape for sale-
