Thanks (mucho) to Nippon, aka Mr. Fan for the map info from one of his previous posts regarding Hamilton Field trackage.
I discovered that the area where our apartment complex now stands, which was built in '72, has an interesting railroad history. I've not been able to find any lingering evidence apart from the spacing of some of the industrial/retail buildings to the south that suggest former trackage (with the map as guide). Once the Larkspur to Cloverdale route is finally in place (and, hopefully, very successful), has anyone heard any comments or rumblings, from Mendocino and Humboldt counties, about running the line further north?

well after dark on 2016 June 01 (June 1st): noticed well maintained W track, but wuts go'n on w/ the E track being transformed into 2 parallel approximately 2 foot guage tracks?! this occurs on a football field length stretch w/ a switch @ each end. big sign proclaims sumthing like :"DANGER - KEEP OFF - SPEED TEST AREA". & WOULDN'T U KNO IT - the distance between these two 2 foot guage tracks is quite likely 8 & a half inches, minus the top surface width of 2 rails.
