Approaching Mile Post 3000

The group is nearing the 3000 mark for photos.  That's quite a milestone in that there are only about 300 of us.

NWP/SMART Radio Freqs.

For those who had their HAMs out in Petaluma last week, we thank you!

Hopefully this will shine some new light for us railfanners:

On Wikipedia and TrainWeb, the radio frequencies used by NWP crews are posted, these frequencies listed expired from the NWP in 2003, and will no longer work..

However, I pulled this of the NWP Yahoo! fan page about SMART:

I drove through Shellville today and the Genset was in the "cage".  i was running late and couldn't get a photo, sorry...but a good looking unit

Other end of the NWP: Napa Jct.

I've posted three pictures of Napa Junction from August of 1966.  SD-7 #2736 is newly "patched" and renumbered from #5329.  This engine worked The Redwood and many freights on the NWP and is boiler equipped even at this late date.  I've also included a close-up of the nose so modelers can see the front end detail and the Mars light attachment detail.  

I'll post two pics of Schellville shortly.
