In regards to your AP10 photo, here are the names of the four people standing on the front of the engine at San Rafael. (I have the same picture on my wall). They are, from the left, Don "Tubby" Burns, hoghead; Paul "Moon Dog" Schmidt, reserve engineer; Greg Stras, brakeman; and George Boderoga, conductor.
hey tom. loved your video Nowhere In Particular. These pics of the last Sonoma train are wonderful. Love the one with the guy working that switch. Thanks for sharing. Would love to know the circumstances of the photographing and locations too, although I notice some of them. Hopefully you will be able to answer some of the questions about pictures on the site.
Great to see you joined the Forum! We played "phone tag" a few years ago but never did get together. My cousin Anton Werner was in your wonderful video. He passed away some years ago, but through your video we can see and hear him again....THANK YOU so much for including him in your video. As a kid growing up I always wanted to go visit Anton cuz when we got there I was "cut loose" in the yard and shop and got to play with anything and everything he maybe working on and inventing! I wanted to ask you if he mentioned "Neumans" on Millerick Rd or anything else he may have mentioned about Schellvile, the Sonoma Land Company, etc or his early life?
