well after dark on 2016 June 01 (June 1st): noticed well maintained W track, but wuts go'n on w/ the E track being transformed into 2 parallel approximately 2 foot guage tracks?! this occurs on a football field length stretch w/ a switch @ each end. big sign proclaims sumthing like :"DANGER - KEEP OFF - SPEED TEST AREA". & WOULDN'T U KNO IT - the distance between these two 2 foot guage tracks is quite likely 8 & a half inches, minus the top surface width of 2 rails.

immediately S of the switch forks the track's historical integrity is well preserved until it meets the SMART line. old rails, wood ties w/ spike plates sporting a variety of patent dates going back to the '20s.
