"Train PSSE #75 is described in detail on pages 296-297 of Angelo Figone's new book: The Northwestern Pacific Railroad - Lifeline of the Redwood Empire Boom and Bust 1951-2001. In a nutshell, PSSE #75 provided expedited daily service of…"
"Sonoma Cty members-
What's the latest? Is the Tuolumne still there? If they are going to bring her over to Napa I would expect 1501 to provide the power and hopefully NWP can also have at least one center beam payload transloaded…"
"And the graffiti has been scrubbed off too. Do a search in "photos" for Tuolumne and you will see some other earlier pictures of the car still in Healdsberg. There is a July 2017 posting stating that the air tanks and trucks…"
"Don't see much rust damage on this car. Wasn't this the car that someone had entered and posted inside pictures over a year ago. Assume because the windows have been protected with plywood, that most if not all are still…"
"Chad Gustafson: Welcome home - and thank you for your Coast Guard service! Question: how much of the Daylight car is visible from the street? Just curious to know if there's a photo opportunity.
"Nice compilation, Nico - despite a whole lotta shakin' goin' on... LOL! You captured rare footage of the 1922 wearing good paint, and the 2009 with the transitional NORTHWESTERN PACIFIC + RAILPOWER lettering. Good stuff!"
"Don: I parked in the new fenced, unpaved lot accessible from E. Washington St., adjacent to the Visitors Center.
Scott: Sorry I missed you - we'll connect next time!
Dave S.: Actually, I didn't have to move an inch, as…"
I would like to use several of your recent photos in a clinic I'm giving at the NMRA convention in Portland next month. The clinic is the latest in a series I've given on modeling the NWP and they would be part of a brief review of the history of the prototype. It's possible that the Powerpoint would be posted on teh NMRA and/or PCR website or even be part of a publication. The would be credited to you by name. If that's OK I can send you teh specifics on which picture they are, and if you'd like I can send you the presentation.
Welcome to the NWPRR Network, Ron! Please take a look around and let me know if you have any questions or comments. We're adding content daily and actively recruiting new members -- please feel free to invite your own friends if you think they may be interested. Regards,
