"I do not know all that was shipped on the spurs -- but in 1950 there was a (gasoline?) tank farm along the canal at the end of the tracks.  At least 4 tanks of about 150 feet in diameter each.  One of the two tracks appeared to go within…"

"The train I saw with the yacht came in to San Rafael from the north. Of course it was in the late 50s or early 60s."

"I remember seen a train come into San Rafael with a yacht on a flat car. I think it was late 50s.i assume they delivered it via that spur."
