"Very nice, Nick!  Those both came out really well.  Not sure how prototypical those people are in the coach.  Not sure the NWP actually ever had any passengers.  ;) Need some barrel lights on that SD-7!"

"You go, Nick!  Although I cringed when I saw those decals.  They are not the thinnest ever made. On the future project list is to have some thinner decals created.  "

"I have walked most of the bridges in the canyon, all seem stable and only need some touch up work to make them able to handle slow speed freight.  I am currently modeling the Eureka Southern era and from my pictures and what other people said,…"

Excellent layout article in "The Northwesterner," Mitch!  I received my copy yesterday and really enjoyed it.  Also wanted to thank you very much for the nwprr.net plug in your article -- I really appreciate it, as well as all your contributions here, of course!  Great work!

Outstanding trees, exquisite layout, colors look great. Take a look at old b&w pix of timber referred from Mark Drury, Mike Buettner:

view in woods from rail, and view in woods from rail uncut timber

I missed the layout tours at the NMRA convention...I assume that your open house was then(?). Please let me know when your next one will be. While I'm an N scaller, I used to model in HO but I will always model the NWP. Great work and please add more photos.

Hey Mitch, I understand you will be having an open house in July. I live up the hill in Tahoe and do not know if I can make it down for that but if you have another time I could stop by, that would be great! Let me know,

Cory

Mitch, If only I can get retired and well off by convention time I'll be sure to be there! So many layouts to see and so little time!

Thanks for the compliment. Good Lord, what have they been saying about me? It's good that the Northwesterner is focusing on modeling issues, since so many of the members are now modelers.
