NCRA meeting 12 Dec 2012 Humboldt

The previous meeting the board the approval of the reception of the Northern Humboldt Bay report. This meeting they approved a broad community based resolution to support Rail with trail from Samoa to Eureka.

Quiet Zone status?

Rumor and a petition on the repeal SMART FB site that the quiet zones were on the chopping block due to budget. I remember during the NWP construction, NCRA specifically saying the circuity needed to do quiet zones were in the signal boxes. Wasn't there also additional bases installed not long ago to more crossing arms and lights? Is there any quiet zones now?

Lawrence,
Thanks for the info! I actually ran into some of the Medford guys today while on my usual "train photo safari" and got an invitation from them! Also ran into a few of the guys at the roundhouse this afternoon and got an invite to come by 7ish and get a tour and some photos! What a great bunch of folks! :)

Are you going to be around Saturday? I actually found the NWP Network through your blog, so it would be kinda nice to meet you in person!
Regards,
JMH

Lawrence,
In Humbolt for the weekend, would like to take my 8 year old son on one of the August 7th speeder runs, any chance of still getting seats? The website is not accepting new reservations for this date.
Thanks,
JMH
