NWP frequencies

I am aware of 160.305, 161.280, and 160.410 but I never hear anything on my scanner except occasional mores code on 160.305. Is it just my location, or scanner? Or are there other frequencies? -Jeff Continue

Backyard logging railroad

I just broke ground on the Mendo-Pacific Logging Company! It is a 1:20.3 scale garden railroad modeled after logging operations in the Mendocino area. Pictures to come soon.

Advice on getting a railroad job?

I am applying (again) for a conductor position... this time with BNSF. Do any of the railroaders out there have any advice? Especially on what to say in the interview to sound enthusiastic, but NOT sound like a foamer with delusions of grandeur.

Missed opportunity

So I heard 2009 leaving P-Town and decide to leapfrog ahead to Olive st. in Novato. I get there, set up my shot and... I left my memory card at home! D'oh! Oh well there were 7 grain cars heading south

Jeff   Thank you so much. That is exactly what it is. I searched T&NO 916 (left off loco, engine, steams etc.) and it brought up a site with a picture El Paso 1940. Their picture looks like new paint, so it may have been in El Paso shop for overhaul including new paint. That is probably why he got picture in it. Looks sharp! Thank you again for info!!
