As many of you probably know, the long awaited "prototypically correct" SD9s from Walthers, due in January (they say) are now joined by a pair of SD7s in the 3rd of four numbering series.  They are…Continue

Thanks for the greeting, Ed. Used to visit family in Petaluma. Spent many a Spring Breaks watching SP Geeps and SD's and then CFNR units. Miss being out there.

It's all good, Ed!

Is there somebody out there who knows NWP ops from the late 50's?  I glean bits and pieces but have not met an EXPERT yet.  Maybe I need to attend one of those NWPRRHS get togethers.

Second the comments for Ed's article in Northwesterner.  I've been hearing about Ed's work for years but haven't had the pleasure to visit.

Fred has my layout penciled in for the next issue.  But Ed's made it a tough act to follow.

Ed, I really enjoyed the article in The Northwesterner about your layout, and wish the NPWRRHS would consider featuring a layout in every issue of that publication -- there is certainly plenty of great work to choose from, given the photos I've seen here.  Please add some of your photos to this network if/when you get a chance -- I would love to see more.  Regards,

Mark D.

Ed, Steve Gust forwarded an email from you with a few shots of your RR. Would love to come down and take a look. I could even bring the SP10 for you to look at in person.

Ed, Richard Todd has a photo in his Eureka Photo album of a close up of the Eureka turntable girder and one of the electric or air motors used to turn it. Not an overall photo of the whole thing but something to get you started.
