Scott Kramer:
Do you know where the Tuolumne has been moved? I was up at that siding Saturday and found the hoppers but no Tuolumne. See my recent post "Hoppers at Windsor".
What has me very concerned is there was a lot of broken safety glass on the tracks at the end of the line of hoppers. What I found was at least 3 pieces of window sized plywood also on the rails and rubber window mouldings. The question then for me as the vandals likely got inside the car. How much damage if any was done to the interior?
I rode the SP Daylight as well as the Lark several times as a kid and I love those cars. To consider that someone trashed one of the last original cars is very upsetting.
I knew I had the name wrong
The Tuolumne is at the far end of the train, the end closest to Santa Rosa.
The Telani is gone as well, well off the main. Any idea where it went?
it explains the shiny gauntlet rails
Thanks for posting this photo!
Can we assume that these are empties?
