There are about twenty-five ways to slice this particlar plum, and I tried em all. The above chart is but one option, and not even the best one, by a mile. I will try to work something up showing fastest route, it's not this one though.

1/2 or even 4/10th of a mile is ridiculous.  Hopefully Marin transit will provide a shuttle but even that is another hefting of baggage for someone going to SFO.

I guess I will have to run for county supervisor when I move to Santa Rosa.

Dave -- I believe you could make the walk using the stairs at the south end of the platform, through the parking lots to the old ped bridge over E. S. F. Drake Boulevard in 700 yards, 0.4 mile, but it is still a very inefficient connection. Using the ped structure would save the traffic signal delay at the ped xing on E. S. F. Drake Boulevard.  The irony of the new $9 million bicycle/ped bridge is that it would require a significantly longer walk or bike connection.

I estimate this distance to be just over 900 yards, or 1/2 mile.
