I suspect that the unfortunate passenger car laying on its side is really caboose 2001... later NWP 6101 and still later NWP 5591, now at Ardenwood undergoing restoration.

On May 19th 1906 the car would be "repaired and painted" for $115.00... Sister caboose 2000 had been painted in June 1904 at a cost of $25.00, so we can assume about $90.00 in repairs.  This car appears to have link and pin draw heads... I would expect Miller couplers on a passenger car...
