I wonder how much longer this crossbuck will be there...

In the past both SMART and NCRA have been very nice to local railroad museums. SMART I think gave some stuff to the NWPRRHS (phone booth). NCRA gave the Eureka Southern Crane to Roots.
The contact at NCRA is Mitch Stoegner at NCRA.org. He is the exec director at NCRA.
Go for it and let us know your results.
They need the funds!
If I knew who at NCRA to get in contact with about derelict equipment, I absolutely would!
A scene from the 1985 movie "Out of Africa" in which Meryl Streep co-stared with Robert Redford:
I wonder if, because its technically on the NCRA owned property, if you could offer $$$ to replace the crossbuck in trade for the old one?
It’d be a shame to see this simply be scrapped. I’ve heard that there are other crossbucks with “NORTHWESTERN PACIFIC” up in the Humboldt area. I’m actually suprised this one has lasted as long as it has.

Great photo! Love the definition of B&W photos. This one looks almost like it was shot with IR film.
I misread the caption, thinking that it said Meryl Streep, not Merrill Street! I actually then clicked on the link and began looking carefully at the photo for the famous actress.
Someone pointed out (comment deleted?) that the sign post has "NORTHWESTERN PACIFIC" stenciled on it. Google Street View confirms this. However, when I first looked at it I thought I was seeing faint "SOUTHERN PACIFIC" markings.
Another interesting thing is that the Geyserville siding, at 6500 feet, is one of the longest ones on the NWP.
