It's a long walk to board the ferry from here, but, interestingly, Wikipedia says: The station may eventually be connected directly to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal by a 1,200-foot (370 m) aerial tramway.

Six months ago when the above caption was written, the Wikipedia page for the Larkspur Landing Station mentioned the possibility of an aerial tramway.  That comment no longer appears on the Wikipedia page.

At the time I wrote that I was imagining a trainload of SMART commuters rushing to be first to get on that tram.  How many tramway cabins equals a two or three car SMART train?  Seems like a completely crazy idea.  Band Aid upon Band Aid.  It would probably less crazy to continue SMART all the way down to Sausalito on the historic right of way, to a new ferry terminal there!  Just another Billion dollars!
