No, the observation car was parked just south of the tunnel. It was owned by a hollywood movie star but I can't think of the name right now. It was there until the summer of 1979 when it was moved to I don't know where.

Charles, the only coach like that I was aware of was the North Shore 101, formerly NWP 201, ne NS 101. This coach was fully restored years ago in Duncan Mills, along with a pair of P&SR wooden boxcars. Is the coach your talking about?

Does anyone remember that old observation car that used to be parked north of the bridge? It used to belong to some actor in the 1940's. Some guy I met bought it and moved it to another location to restore it. It was one of those western type open platform observations. I believe it was wood. Anybody remember that?

I remember this bridge when I used to live in San Anselmo in 1979. The bridge was unused then but was still usable. The tracks were all there as far as the bridge that was a little more south. I don't know if that bridge is there either. I think it was a drawbridge if I recall. Any help out there remembering?

Any pictures out there of the old Hutchison Quarry, where Dirty Harry ended ? I still remember the old " Crooked " Tower building, that always looked like it was ready to fall in ! Now... Larkspur Landing... Uggh.

Yeah, like at tunnel portals and the ends of bridges, and to mark abandoned ROWs. Although they'd probably wind up stolen or vandalized...

I have heard thru, Hubbys Uncle, that someone has recently (in the last few months) put a new NWP hearld somewhere on the south approach to the bridge.  I'll try to find out more from uncle and get a picture of this.
