Last weekend, 3/26 and 3/27, THA ran our Speeder/Crewcar train in Old town Eureka!!  We got special permission from all the proper agencies. And with a full crew, we ran all day shuttling Jazz Festival goers.  I heard so much positive comments and feedback.  People want to see us run in Eureka.  This is just the beginning, as we have been granted permission to run on the 4th of July as well as memorial day weekend for the Blues by the Bay Festival!!!  While we were limited to only 4 blocks this weekend, the City of Eureka has agreed to cut out the paved in flange ways for us to run further.  This is a big step in our efforts to run all the way around the bay.

Samoa opened up about 3:30pm or so. A member went there, no damage.

The roads are closed. I can't get there to see, but I'm sure we are OK.

No damage to the harbor. Only 5ft at woodly island. Crescent City harbor trashed. Docks, and about 35 boats damaged.

Any tsunami damage this morning at Samoa Shops Museum?  I remember that its location is just a stones throw from the coast where tsunami signs are posted and its also near the Humboldt Bay shoreline.  Paul

I would love to come to see what THA has accomplished but it is about a 2500 mile drive! I live in Ohio! A visit will have to wait until I retire.

I've been really enjoying the photos you have posted. You should come up sometime to view what we have, and the caboose.

Tomorrow is training on the speeder from 9 to 4, and will be open then, plus the days we have the Samoa speeder rides.

The speeder rides are the 4th Sat of each month. starting this month. In Aug we will have a run from Eureka to Arcata. Looks like we will also be giving rides in Eureka during the 4th of July.
