What happened to the parts of #4450? I know they torched it in Portola, but did the electrical components go anywhere?
Proud UP Family here ;) I've had family with the UP and OSL in CA, UT and Southeastern Idaho since the 1800's.
has a drink to 4450...glad she rests in bloody nose lore and never been touched by the yellow plague
BUGX = Bruggere and Monson
You guys are killing me with this. lol. My best guess is that BUGX will eventually scrap all of the SD-9 fleet in Schellville, or ship them out to short lines that have SD-9's in service for canabalization. When the NWP returns, and I say returns to Willits thier are plenty of other units that have dynamic braking systems that they can aquire. Look at the BUGX roster to get a idea of what might be headed our way in the months to come. Please don't get me wrong I would love to see not just one, but all of them be returned to working order. I just don't think it is feasable is all. I think the F units have the only chance of ever seeing any action again just because they are more scarce than the SD-9's.
Puff is owned by the owner of BUGX, the same man who sees gold in everything (that means he never scraps anything, and rarely ever sells anything) puff is safe for a while
