I very much would have enjoyed bringing my grandson to Steamfest this weekend but he now has another family commitment.  Previously your group would send out a notice via email in advance.

BTW glad to see you are a member.  A couple of friends of mine have suggested we come join and work but I have a bad back and no longer up to heavy work.  Cheers, Richard

Down here in Fremont its in the local paper, don't know about elsewhere. they had another tank engine fest  this last weekend. I can hear the steam whistle from my house.

It appears then that the conditions for notification of customers has changed as the link you have provided takes me to the page to join as a member.  I'm retired so hesitant to get into a membership situation.

I can understand their need to fund raise (which I am doing for other organizations) but how do they expect solicit for paying riders if they do not make email announcements of their special trains?

I love this RR, the Love (Valentine) Train and many other excursions with my family but it doesn't love me.  I was previously on their mailing list but was dropped for some reason unknown to me, had re-applied directly in an email to one of their officers who I met at a CalTrain anniversary in Menlo Park, and I still am not on their mail list.

Any suggestions on how to succeed short of driving to their office and looking over a shoulder to ensure that I am added to a mail list?
