I have been working on modeling the Eureka Southern Daylight. The only car I have been missing is the Lake Pepin. I was looking at Walthers and it looks like they have the Lake Pepin coming up. Ill have to do a re-paint, but it looks like I may have the Eureka Southern Daylight complete:
Anyone ever modeled the Interurban? I'm gathering information so I can plan my next layout. It will be a Marin County based, set between 1925 (ish) and 1935 (ish) so as to include as much variety as possible: narrow gauge, dual gauge, interurban, etc. Rivet counting will not be allowed for maximum historic freedom! Thx, David
Hi Jennifer, thanks for the link.
The label on the box has Howell Day, rubber stamped over M. Dale Newton Co. so late fifties is a good guess.
Thank John.
Hi John, I'm guessing late fifties? Very nice kit. Here's some info I found regarding that manufacturer:

Anybody know the history of NWP MW 850? That's the old water car that sat in Petaluma for years. It was previously an SP MW car, but I don't know the number. I also don't know when the NWP "acquired" it. Any help would be appreciated.
Great details. Telephone pole cross arms, railing on bridge, pipes on buildings. Only in Petaluma: Chicken Pharmacy!
Looking good Ed
They're as close as I could get them. Four of them still exist, the others were tore down. They have all gone through multiple identities over the years, with various modifications. It's fun to trace their histories. What you see is actually the backs of the buildings - the fronts are on Petaluma Blvd. Some were grain warehouses originally, built between 1880 and 1910. They were serviced by the P&SR tracks as well as barges and steamboats. Here's a 1958 photo I got from Verne Alexander:
