BSA In the News: UNION PACIFIC DEDICATES BOY SCOUT LOCOMOTIVE

(From Trains Magazine)

Union Pacific dedicated a new, special locomotive in March: ES44AC No. 2010. The locomotive marks the Boy Scouts of America's centennial. UP painted the locomotive at its Jenks Yard Paint Shop in North Little Rock, Ark, and debuted it March 31st in Houston. The unit includes the Boy Scouts' logo, 10 emblems showing scout ranks from Tiger to Eagle, and has the logos for Venturing and Sea Scouts. It also has the BSA2010 logo.

This locomotive is just one of Union Pacific's fleet of dedicated locomotives, some of which include one dedicated to George H.W. Bush, the 2002 Olympics, and The United Way.
