Top Ten California Railroad Projects funded by SB-1

   This is only a couple of days old but the tenth project is for 970K.

Pilot program: Services to fill the Gaps- Evaluate opportunities and fund pilot services to fill gaps in the state intercity rail system, including connections to the North State, between SMART and the Capital Corridor, and between the peninsula and the East Bay.

Not much funding though especially considering there are at least 3 projects on that list including Dumbarton rail, a $100M + project.

  Still it is a start. Together with the money the state already approved and SMART initiated a feasibility contract.

Part of this SB-1 could be used to begin the work that has be done before any passenger train can run.

  This study should be completed this spring.
