What is the source for the new rail acquired for the Larkspur extension and by which method was it delivered to the staging area. The 80 foot length seem a bit long for flatbed trucks unless special transportation equipment was used. Are there any videos of the rail being delivered? Did it come by rail and then off loaded onto trucks? How are the concrete and wooden ties being delivered-by train/truck? Thanks for any additional information which will complete the story of the new extension.
I will research this, Mr. Dunning. It's a good question--the part about if it traveled by rail to a transload. The NWP would have had the option to deliver the cars to SMART if SMART chose to ship by railroad. It's possible that SMART chose to ship by other means to avoid the NWP. If that is true, and it was more expensive, then the public deserves to learn about this sooner rather than later, when the problem can be corrected.

all i have seen is grain cars the last two months
