On Thursday there were 6 hoppers sitting on the spur at Silveira Ranch road.  Saturday and Sunday only 3 remained.  No sign of a loco when I drove past both days but I did not drive into Petaluma.

THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!

Thanks Don for that link.  It appears in one photo that the crew is watch for the clearance as they move past one of the SMART platforms.

And the caboose IS being used to carry MoW crewmembers.

Interesting though that they only have one hopper load.

That still doesn't answer where the ballast was going, or what it was for.  Construction or track maintenance?

Hmm. I'll believe it when I see it. Is SMART actually working on the tracks north from Healdsburg north or is that all talk?

Emilio:

SMART has received funding from a source unknown to me to extend the line from the County airport north to the city of Windsor.  No plans for Healdsburg yet.

Maybe Jack knows.
